Dozens of very popular home makeover tv shows prove our point: targeted and tasteful efforts can make all the difference. Not only will they cut waiting periods for renting and selling, but they will raise the value compared to other houses in the same market range. See for yourself: two apartments in Turin (both ranging around 50 square metres) that boast Creative-Cables products. Both apartments were rented out within the first viewing day. Each lamp added character to every room, and made for high-impact photos that immediately caught the eye.
In the first apartment, there are three focus points enhanced by the light designer. The first one is an elegant three-fall spider with unique burgundy fabric cable design on the ceiling, to center the illumination around the dining table. The canvas lampshades, customised by the home stager, added warmth to the room and made the lighting softer.
Now let’s shift to the living room, where the main aim was to embellish the large empty space above the sofa. The perfect opportunity to create a cosy reading corner. Rather watch TV? No problem, a dimmer was placed right next to the sofa to adjust light settings for any situation. On top of that, the metallic effect lightbulbs radiate a soft reflected light.
The same style can be found in the bedroom, with two embellished UFOs from Carolina Zuniga, to add that romantic and comfortable touch to both sides of the bed. Neutral tones and strategic placing, to shift lighting from the countervail to the walls.
In the second apartment, the Creative-Cables lighting is featured in many different spots, starting from the two-fall Spider with exposed lightbulbs that welcomes you at the door.
The two-fall Spider is also the star of the living room, paired with two Creative-Cables canvas lampshades in grey Dibond to make the lighting less harsh and more focused on the table, while the two cables comfortably droop from the ceiling.
Another classy touch to the living room area are the three UFO lamps. The two lateral UFOs come from a collaboration with illustrator Chiara Fucà, whilst the middle one was crafted by mosaicist Michela Nardin: the artist used plaster and white gold glass tiles (from the historic venetian glassware Orsoni).
In the first bedroom, a Jute spider perfectly rounds off the warm tones of the room and of the wooden surroundings, and its three falls smoothly align with the wardrobe doors.
But the second bedroom is where the cable really comes to life thanks to the iconic “Linea” by Cavandoli, which leads the current from the wall socket to the desk and Spostaluce.
Last but not least, a three-fall Spider in the kitchen, with ceramic lampshades in perfect harmony with the rest of the furnishing.
To sum it up, lighting (especially when used creatively) can have such a big impact on our home, not only by improving every space through comfort and elegance, but its value too.
